Dan Culbertson

Director of Youth Ministries

I was born and raised in Chambersburg in south central Pennsylvania. I came into a relationship with Christ at a relatively early age, somewhere around twelve, and continued to grow in this relationship throughout my Junior and Senior High years.

While in Senior High I became a small group leader in the youth ministry at King Street United Brethren in Chambersburg and began to feel a call into ministry. I became a member of the worship team for the youth ministry and continued to grow in my relationship with Christ and with a passion to serve Him.

After graduating from high school I decided I wanted to be a music teacher and went to Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU) where I began a program as a music education major. After some guidance from God I shifted into the Church Music Program, and eventually into the pastoral ministries program.

During my sophomore year at PBU I was asked to take the position of the youth director at New Life Community Church in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, where I had been volunteering for almost a year. After coming on as the youth director I also became director of worship and served in both capacities until my graduation from PBU in May 2009. I have come on at Galloway at the beginning of the year in 2010.

God has given me a great passion to reach Youth for Him and a great passion for Music and to serve Him in these capacities. I have a great desire to see the youth ministry here at Galloway grow and become an environment where all teens can be welcomed as themselves in Christ. As I grow in my walk with Christ I am continually reminded of the grace that he has shown all of us through His redemptive work on the cross and I cannot help, but be driven to seek Him, and to serve and worship Him in every aspect of my life.
