Galloway’s Leadership Structure

The highest desire of Galloway Church’s staff and lay leadership is to follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance in all areas of ministry. Pastor Seth, staff members and Ministry Council lay leaders prayerfully consider the church goals, future plans, personnel, policies and financial decisions. After seeking God for His will, Ministry Council votes on these decisions before that are enacted.

The church functions because of the faithful service of many.   At Galloway, there are 10 areas of ministry supported by volunteer committees/teams.   The committee/team leaders make up the Ministry Council.

Administrative Committees & Teams

Financial Committee

Finance Team members manage the financial resources through budgeting, gathering, stewardship and accounting.   Finance Team Leader: Joe Gayetty Sr.

Pastor Parish Relations Committee

PPRC is the human resources committee.   The members manage all personnel issues including hiring, job descriptions, salaries & benefits, evaluations and staff accountability.   Pastor Parish Relations Committee Chair: Dave Nettles

Trustees Committee

Trustee Committee members are   responsible for the maintenance and improvements   to the building, grounds and infra-structure.   Trustees Committee Chair: John Sampsell

Ministry Placement Team (Leadership Development)

Ministry Placement  Team members help connect people to ministry opportunities.   They provide leadership training and support to develop and equip lay leaders.   They also guide nominations for lay leader positions.   Leadership Development Committee Chair:   No Leader at this time

Communications Team

Communication Team members connect the   congregation & community with our church ministries and events by creating and distributing information.   Communication Team Leader: Wendy McLoughlin

Outreach and Missions Team

Missions & Outreach Team members manage the activities that demonstrate the Gospel to our community and beyond.   They oversee the ministries that reach outside our walls. Missions & Outreach Team Leader: Shannon Hawke

Worship Team

Worship Team members oversee the details of the regular, special and seasonal worship services. Worship Team Leader: No Leader at This Time

Discipleship Team

Discipleship Team members manage the activities which enable believers to become disciples. Discipleship Team Leader: Phil Thompson

Congregational Care Team

Congregational Care Team members offer emotional and spiritual support to the congregation through their ministries.   Congregational Care Team Leader: Ruth Ruditis

Fellowship Team

Fellowship Team members provide opportunities to expand and deepen Christian friendship. Fellowship Team Leader: Larry Kelly

Ministry Council Chair

The role of Ministry Council chair is to set the agenda and manage the meetings.   He will provide support to the committee and team leaders within Ministry Council.   He also shares the responsibility of leadership development and accountability.   Ministry Council Chair: Shane McCoy

Lay Delegate

The job of the Lay Delegate is to help connect Galloway Church to the Greater United Methodist Church.   Lay Delegate: Dave McMullen
