A Changed Life

I have been part of Galloway for a few years and in that time the Lord has changed my life in ways I didn’t know possible. Before I came to this church I had been drug addicted, angry and on occasion, even a homeless person.

I was invited to Galloway by my good friend Steph D., who would eventually become my wife. She introduced me to many of our spiritual family members and I was taken back by the way I was so easily accepted and cared for regardless of the past I came from or how I came through the door.

With the help of my new family, walls in my heart have been broken down and I have through the Holy Spirit, found that my relationship with Christ is just that a relationship and not just religious talk or a trip to a building each Sunday. I have felt led to reach out and challenge that relationship by becoming an active member of the Body. Volunteering for the Youth Group has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am not too many years out of high school and can relate but have learned about my impact as an example.

Through my experiences with life group, 20 Something and even Sunday School, I have really grown in my understanding of what the Body of Christ should strive to be. At Galloway I have been mentored and have been given the opportunity to be a mentor. I have also met many moms, dads, brothers and sisters and I thank God for it all.
